A Trumansburg track alum who once brought cookies to meets is now baking on national TV, according to WBNG. Violet Zoner, an Ithaca native, is competing on the Food Network’s Holiday Baking Championship.
Zoner began baking in middle school, eventually studying at the Culinary Institute of America. She now appears on Team Nice in the holiday-themed competition.
Four episodes have aired so far, and Zoner says the friendships she’s made are the sweetest part of the experience.
