Police arrested a 32-year-old Elmira man Saturday after he allegedly fired shots at a home and then held a woman against her will, according to WENY.
Officers responded to gunfire on Franklin Street around 6:45 a.m. and later found the suspect, Robert Kitzi, had barricaded himself with the woman at a North Main Street apartment. SWAT teams took him into custody by 9:50 a.m.
The woman was injured and treated. Police recovered a handgun and charged Kitzi with assault and two felony weapons counts.
