Deputies arrested a man early Thursday after a disturbance at the D&D Motel in the Town of Canandaigua.
Matthew L. Miller, 42, of Geneva, faces charges of criminal contempt in the second degree and criminal mischief in the fourth degree, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded around 2:55 a.m. to a complaint about family trouble at the motel. During the investigation, officers say Miller allegedly damaged the victim’s property and violated a court-issued order of protection.
He was taken into custody at the scene and brought to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment. He’s expected to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date.
