Seneca Falls man faces felony charges after violating court order

A Seneca Falls man is facing multiple charges after police say he violated a court order of protection earlier this week.

On Monday, November 24, the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested 52-year-old Adam J. Christensen. He was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense, both Class E felonies. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child.

According to investigators, the charges stem from Christensen’s alleged violation of an active order of protection. Details of the incident were not released, but police confirmed a child was involved.

Christensen was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility. He is awaiting arraignment.
