A porch theft investigation in Penn Yan led to drug charges for a Dundee woman.
Police arrested 44-year-old Darcey L. Semmel on June 25 after she allegedly stole a package from someone’s porch in the village.
While taking her into custody, officers say they found a plastic baggie with a white powdery substance on her. The substance was later confirmed by the New York State Police Crime Lab to be methamphetamine.
Semmel was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. She was arraigned in Penn Yan Village Court and released.
