Ulysses reveals early designs for first town park

Ulysses unveiled two draft designs for its first-ever community park, based on a public survey and student collaboration with Cornell, according to Tompkins Weekly. The 15-acre site was donated by residents Marvin and Allison Pritts.

Survey results showed strong support for walking trails, natural areas, and sports fields. Cornell Design Connect students presented similar layouts with slight variations, and residents offered feedback at a Nov. 12 open house.

Town officials aim to finalize a design by year’s end, though legal steps and zoning approvals may delay construction into 2026.
