Crowded roads and rising crash risks are coming with Thanksgiving travel, according to WBNG. New York State Police say the holiday marks one of the busiest — and most dangerous — times of year to be on the road.
Troopers plan to ramp up patrols across the Southern Tier, watching for speeders, drunk drivers, and anyone ignoring seat belts or the move over law.
They’re also warning drivers to slow down in wintry weather and ditch cruise control on icy roads. Even prescription meds can impair your ability to drive, they said.
