Mother charged after young children allegedly subjected to abuse in Seneca Falls

Deputies arrested a Seneca Falls woman after she allegedly used excessive corporal punishment on her two young children.

Authorities say 30-year-old Destiney Palmer was taken into custody on November 20. She’s facing two counts of endangering the welfare of a child after an incident that unfolded the day before.

According to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, Palmer allegedly disciplined her children—ages two and four—using excessive force. Investigators also say she subjected them to significant verbal abuse.

After her arrest, Palmer was turned over to the Corrections Division. She’s awaiting arraignment at Seneca County CAP Court. Officials also requested Orders of Protection for the two children.

The Sheriff’s Office says it’s working closely with Seneca County Child Protective Services as the investigation continues.
