A fire that may have started in a chicken coop pulled fire crews from across Cayuga and Tompkins counties to Booth Hill Road on Monday.
The Cayuga/Seneca Fire Wire reports that Locke, Moravia, Genoa, and Groton fire departments all responded, along with a RIT team from Cortlandville and Fourtown Ambulance. Crews were originally dispatched for a reported shed fire.
Units from Locke, Groton, and Moravia remained on scene, while others were told they could return to service. Groton Engine 801 was confirmed on site, and Fourtown Ambulance also responded.
No injuries or further damage reports were mentioned, and details on the cause have not been released.
