Geneva man arrested in Seneca County burglary, drug case

A Geneva man is facing a long list of charges following a months-long investigation into a burglary that occurred in Seneca County this past summer.

According to Sheriff Timothy J. Thompson, investigators arrested 39-year-old Pedro J. Morales on November 10 after securing a warrant tied to an incident in August. Deputies allege that Morales unlawfully entered a building, stole property, caused damage, and was found in possession of controlled substances during the offense.

Morales is charged with burglary in the third degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, petit larceny, and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

He was transported from the Ontario County Jail to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center for processing, then arraigned at Seneca County’s Centralized Arraignment Part Court. Officials have not released details about the specific property involved or what substances were recovered. The investigation remains active.
