Flights in and out of Ithaca are getting slashed as federal air traffic control staff shortages force the FAA to cut daily flight volumes, according to 14850.com.
Delta and United Airlines began canceling multiple routes, including all Delta flights to JFK and select United trips to Dulles, with more cancellations expected through the week. The cuts are part of a nationwide FAA mandate now entering its fifth day.
The reductions are growing daily—set to hit 10% by Friday—and also affect nearby Syracuse. Airlines are offering free changes or refunds for travelers booked between November 6–13.
