Deputies arrested a Clifton Springs woman over the weekend after a child was struck during a domestic dispute at a Horizon Drive home.
Cassie A. Robinson, 26, was taken into custody on Saturday night and charged with criminal contempt in the first degree and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest followed an incident where Robinson allegedly slapped a victim under the age of 17 in the face, leaving a visible mark.
According to investigators, the child is listed as a protected party in an active order of protection issued by New York State Family Court. Robinson was transported to the Ontario County Jail, where she remains in custody pending further court action.
