A 21-year-old Canandaigua woman was arrested twice within minutes on Thursday, November 6, after allegedly causing property damage at two separate locations in the Town of Canandaigua.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Anna Champion, who lives at 4459 County Road 50, is facing two felony counts of Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree following back-to-back incidents just before 3 p.m.
Deputies were first called to Laguna Grande, located at 407 County Road 50, at approximately 2:55 p.m., where Champion allegedly threw rocks at a window, causing more than $250 in damage. She was taken into custody following an on-scene investigation.
Just five minutes later, at 3:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Woodridge Motel at 4459 County Road 50, Champion’s listed residence. There, investigators say she intentionally damaged her motel room, again with damages exceeding $250.
In both cases, Champion was arrested, charged with criminal mischief, and transported to the Ontario County Jail. She is expected to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
Both incidents were investigated by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Canandaigua Police Department.
