A Steuben County inmate is facing a new felony charge after investigators say he forced another person into a sexual act last year.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office says 51-year-old Frederick T. Baldock III, of Moore Haven Drive in Bath, was arrested Wednesday following an investigation into a reported sexual assault from September 2024.
Baldock, who is currently incarcerated at the Steuben County Jail, is accused of engaging in oral sexual conduct with another person by forcible compulsion. He was charged with criminal sexual act in the first degree — a class B felony.
Deputies say Baldock was arraigned in centralized court and returned to the county jail, where he remains in custody.
