Three workers arrested during a federal immigration raid at a Cayuga County factory have pleaded guilty to illegally reentering the U.S., according to The Citizen.
The plea deals follow the Sept. 4 raid at Nutrition Bar Confectioners in Ira, where 57 people were detained. Bodycam footage obtained by the outlet shows Cayuga County deputies assisting federal agents during the operation.
The high-profile case has sparked political backlash and calls to limit local cooperation with federal immigration enforcement.
