A Geneva man is facing multiple charges — including felony DWI — after being clocked at more than double the speed limit in Seneca Falls.
Police say James P. Moschiano, 52, was arrested around 10:30 a.m. on October 29 after a traffic complaint led officers to State Route 414. He was seen driving 75 miles per hour in a 30 MPH zone on Ovid Street before being pulled over.
During the stop, officers determined Moschiano was driving under the influence of alcohol. Because he has a prior DWI conviction within the last ten years, the new offense was charged as a felony.
Moschiano was also charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated (felony), speeding in a zone, speeding not reasonable and prudent, moving from lane unsafely, and reckless driving, which is a misdemeanor.
He was processed at the Seneca Falls Police Department and released. Moschiano is scheduled to appear in Town of Seneca Falls Court at a later date.
