A Dundee man was arrested Tuesday morning on felony drug charges stemming from an investigation earlier this year inside the Yates County Jail.
Erik B. Hoyt was arraigned in Yates County Superior Court around 11:15 a.m. on Oct. 28 after being indicted by a county grand jury. Deputies served an active arrest warrant at the courthouse.
Hoyt is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and criminal sale of a controlled substance, both in the fifth degree.
The charges relate to an investigation that began in March 2025 while Hoyt was in custody at the jail. The Yates County Sheriff’s Office did not release further details about the case.
Hoyt is scheduled to return to court for additional proceedings on November 25 at 11:30 a.m.
