Stray bullets striking nearby homes forced the Camillus Sportsman’s Club to shut down its outdoor gun range, according to WSTM. Police are investigating, and town officials issued a cease-and-desist order after the club reportedly refused to close voluntarily.
The town says the bullets came from the range, based on mapped incidents dating back to 2012. Officials want the club to seek a site plan review and bring in outside experts to improve safety.
Club leaders haven’t commented publicly as they assess the situation.
