Newark’s school cafeterias are serving up more fresh, appealing meals, and food waste is down. Breakfasts now include warm muffins and bagels, with egg-stuffed hash browns coming soon. Students love the changes—and so do the staff.
Wayne Central is also sourcing produce from nearby farms, some of which employ students, giving kids a full-circle farm-to-table experience in their own lunchrooms.
