A Benton man was arrested earlier this month after deputies say he was driving under the influence on State Route 364.
According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, 58-year-old Michael Schiller was stopped around 7:12 p.m. on October 18 for multiple traffic violations.
Deputies say Schiller was speeding in a 55 mph zone, had overly bright headlights, and was moving from his lane unsafely. During the stop, he showed signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests.
He was taken into custody and charged with driving while ability impaired by alcohol, along with several traffic infractions. Schiller was processed and released with tickets to appear in court at a later date.
