No. 5 Cornell women’s hockey continued its unbeaten start with a dominant 5-0 win over Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon at Thompson Arena. The Big Red improved to 4-0-0, while the Big Green fell to 1-3-0.

Avi Adam, Karel Prefontaine, Lindzi Avar, and Nora Curtis, who scored twice, powered Cornell’s offense, while goaltender Annelies Bergmann stopped all 17 shots for her second shutout of the season. The Big Red capitalized on special teams, converting three of five power-play opportunities.
Adam opened the scoring late in the first period, and Avar doubled the lead with just seconds left in the frame on a power play. Curtis extended the advantage to 3-0 in the second, also with the extra skater, before Prefontaine buried a rebound early in the third to put the game out of reach. Curtis capped the scoring with her second goal of the night midway through the period, completing Cornell’s third power-play tally.
Alyssa Regalado led the way with three assists, while Adam and Prefontaine each added two helpers. Rose Dwyer and Georgia Schiff also recorded assists as Cornell’s offense outshot Dartmouth 42-17.
The fifth-ranked Cornell women’s hockey team returns to Lynah Rink on Tuesday, October 28, to host Syracuse. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
