The New York Mets announced Wednesday that shortstop Francisco Lindor underwent a minor elbow debridement on his right arm but is expected to be fully healthy for spring training.
The procedure, which removes damaged or irritated tissue from a tendon, was described by the team as a routine cleanup for lingering discomfort in Lindor’s elbow.
It marks the second time in two years that Lindor has addressed that area surgically, as he had bone spurs removed from the same elbow in 2023. Despite those issues, the 31-year-old All-Star has remained remarkably durable, missing only 13 games over the past three seasons.
Lindor once again served as a cornerstone for the Mets in 2025, appearing in 160 games while playing through multiple ailments, including a fractured pinky toe. He delivered one of the most productive campaigns of his career, finishing with an .811 OPS, 31 home runs, and 31 stolen bases, his second straight season achieving the 30–30 milestone.
