Cornell University leaders have slashed budgets and launched cost-cutting measures across all campuses to deal with rising financial strain, according to WBNG.
University officials blamed conflicting government funding, legal fees, and higher employment costs for the squeeze. They said nearly 300 cost-saving ideas came from faculty and staff during recent town halls.
Next, Cornell will form two committees: one to focus on campus-specific strategy, and another to oversee operations across all locations.
