Hemlock woman arrested on DWI and drug charges in Richmond

Deputies say a Hemlock woman is facing multiple charges after a traffic stop led to a DWI and drug arrest in Richmond.

Kelly A. Snitzel, 41, was pulled over Tuesday evening near State Route 20A and County Road 36.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Snitzel was found to be intoxicated and impaired by drugs during the stop. Deputies also say she had two types of controlled pills in her car—neither stored in a prescription bottle.

She was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while impaired by drugs, and driving while impaired by a combination of drugs and alcohol. She’s also accused of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, and was ticketed for having no tail lights or license plate lights. Deputies say she also had open containers of alcohol or marijuana in the vehicle.

Snitzel was issued appearance and traffic tickets and released. She’s scheduled to appear in Richmond Town Court at a later date.
