A Steuben County man is facing charges after deputies say he was driving under the influence of drugs in Yates County.
Dylon F. George, 24, of Cohocton, was stopped by Yates County Sheriff’s Deputies around 7:19 p.m. on October 8 along State Route 54A in the Town of Jerusalem. Deputies say George was pulled over for a traffic violation related to inadequate headlights.
During the stop, deputies observed signs of impairment and administered field sobriety tests, which led to George’s arrest. He was taken to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital for a chemical test and later released on traffic tickets.
George is scheduled to appear in the Town of Jerusalem Court at a later date to face charges of Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs (DWAI) and operating a vehicle with no or inadequate headlights.
