A shoplifting incident in the Town of Tyre ended in an arrest Tuesday night.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kristina M. Ciaccia, 40, of Rochester, charging her with petit larceny and resisting arrest.
The deputy report says the incident occurred September 30 at about 7:52 p.m. Ciaccia allegedly stole merchandise worth $16.34 from a local business. When deputies tried to place her under arrest, she attempted to flee and was physically noncompliant.
Deputies transported Ciaccia to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center and turned her over to the county correctional facility.
She was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Town of Tyre Court at a later date.
