With its flagship vessel set to retire, Discover Cayuga Lake is raising $130,000 to keep programs afloat.
According to The Tompkins Weekly, the Teal supports 60% of the nonprofit’s revenue and hosts thousands of students and residents each year. Replacing it is critical to sustaining eco-education cruises, internships, and green boating goals. Two fundraising events are planned in October, including a sunset cruise and gala.
The group still needs $55,000 to meet its 2026 launch goal.
