Deputies arrested a Rose man Friday night after he allegedly assaulted a woman in violation of a court-issued order of protection.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, 39-year-old Troy H. Dickens was taken into custody at his Brown Road home around 7 p.m. on September 26. The arrest followed an investigation into an incident two days earlier at the same location.
Deputies say Dickens got into an argument with the victim on September 24. When she tried to leave, he grabbed her, leaving visible marks. At the time, an active order of protection was in place prohibiting contact between Dickens and the victim.
He now faces multiple charges, including:
- Criminal obstruction of breathing
- Unlawful imprisonment in the second degree
- Criminal contempt in the first degree
- Harassment in the second degree
Dickens was taken to the Wayne County Jail and was scheduled for centralized arraignment the following morning.
