A woman already in jail on unrelated charges is now facing new legal trouble in Ontario County.
Deputies arrested Chelsey Storrs, 34, of Auburn, on Friday after discovering an active bench warrant for drug possession.
The warrant, signed by Ontario County Court Judge Reston, charges Storrs with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance—a felony under New York law.
Deputies took her into custody without incident at the Livingston County Jail, where she was already being held. She was then transferred to the Ontario County Jail for pre-arraignment detention.
Storrs is expected to appear in Ontario County Court at a later date to answer the charge.
