Investigators say the pair were involved in a fraudulent transaction that led to the theft of multiple gift cards. Troopers from SP Painted Post assisted with the arrest, and both men were processed at SP Horseheads.

Causell and Vineyard were each charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a class E felony. They were released with appearance tickets and are scheduled to return to Horseheads Town Court on Tuesday, September 30 at 7 p.m.

The investigation is still ongoing.
