An 85-year-old man from Lyons was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Wayne County.
Deputies say John Facer was driving a 2017 Nissan SUV east on County Road 25 when he failed to stop at a stop sign. His vehicle entered the intersection at State Route 88 and was struck by a southbound 2000 Freightliner dump truck driven by 59-year-old Dale Heim of Fairport.
The impact sent both vehicles off the east side of Route 88. Facer was transported to Strong Hospital by ambulance and was reported to be in stable condition.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
