UR Medicine Thompson Health has announced a series of six community flu clinics scheduled across Ontario County this fall.
The clinics are open to anyone age 9 or older and will offer the standard 2024–2025 flu vaccine, which protects against three strains of the virus. A high-dose version, designed to create a stronger immune response, will be available for those 65 and older.
Here’s the full schedule:
- Sept. 18, 12–4 p.m. – Canandaigua Urgent Care, 699 S. Main St., Canandaigua
- Sept. 25, 3–6 p.m. – Farmington Town Hall, 1000 County Road 8, Farmington
- Sept. 29, 3–6 p.m. – Hopewell Fire Station #2, 4018 Routes 5 & 20, Canandaigua
- Oct. 8, 3–6 p.m. – Farmington Urgent Care, 1160 Corporate Drive, Farmington
- Oct. 13, 3–6 p.m. – Veterans Park, 6910 Routes 5 & 20, Bloomfield
- Oct. 15, 3–6 p.m. – Victor Fire Department, 34 Maple Ave., Victor
Flu shots are free for those with insurance, but patients must bring their insurance card. For those without coverage, the standard vaccine costs $45 and the high-dose version is $80. Payment can be made by cash, check, MasterCard, or Visa.
