Cheers erupted in City Hall after Geneva’s zoning board shot down a proposed 74-unit housing project, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
The board voted 4–0 Tuesday to deny key variances for Lakeview Health Services’ $38 million downtown lofts. The project, set for Genesee Street, included units for people with mental health needs and low-income residents.
Lakeview needed zoning exceptions for parking, setbacks, and a Dumpster location. Without them, the plan may not move forward.
