Elmira woman charged in Bath domestic dispute

A 24-year-old Elmira woman is facing multiple charges after police say she unlawfully entered a residence in Bath and damaged property during a domestic incident.

According to the Village of Bath Police Department, officers and New York State Police responded to an open-line 911 call around 5:23 a.m. on August 22. The call came from a home on East Steuben Street and included the sounds of a disturbance in the background.


When officers arrived, they determined that a domestic dispute was in progress. An investigation revealed that the primary aggressor had entered the home unlawfully and caused property damage.

Tatiana Lopez, 24, was arrested and charged with:

  • Burglary in the 2nd Degree (Class C felony)
  • Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree (Class A misdemeanor)
  • Aggravated Family Offense (Class E felony)

Lopez was processed at the Steuben County Jail and released on her own recognizance following arraignment.
