Hundreds of residents are pushing back against Cayuga County’s first large-scale wind farm, according to The Citizen.
The state received 220 public comments—mostly negative—on the proposed Agricola Wind Project, which includes 24 turbines across Scipio and Venice. Opponents raised concerns about property values, noise, water safety, and the permit process.
Despite some support for clean energy, many say the rural landscape isn’t the right place. A final decision from state regulators is expected by November.
