A man from Florida was arrested in Bath earlier this month after allegedly assaulting someone during an altercation at the Steuben County Fairgrounds.
Police say the incident happened on August 11, when officers responded to a call about a fight. According to investigators, 44-year-old Andrew Mckinney of Fort Pierce, Florida, struck the victim in the face, causing physical injury.
After speaking with witnesses and assessing the injuries, officers charged Mckinney with Assault in the Third Degree—a Class A misdemeanor.
He was taken to the Bath Police Department for processing and later released on an appearance ticket. Mckinney is expected to return to court at a later date.
