Protecting Canandaigua Lake this summer could be as simple as raising a glass.
Heron Hill Winery and Naples Brewing Company have teamed up with the Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association (CLWA) to release special drinks that support lake conservation efforts.
Beer fans get a returning favorite

Back for its second season is Lakeside Cream Ale from Naples Brewing Co., brewed entirely with New York State ingredients. Last year’s run sold out so quickly the brewery had to make a second batch. A portion of sales goes directly to CLWA, and the can features lake facts plus a QR code linking to ways people can get involved.
Heron Hill joins in with two new wines
Heron Hill Winery is debuting CLWA Chardonnay and CLWA Cabernet Franc, made from sustainably grown grapes at its Ingle Vineyards on the west side of the lake. For every case sold, $24 will be donated to CLWA.
“For five decades, sustainability has been at the heart of what we do,” said Jessie Gorcica, Heron Hill’s Director of Sales and Marketing. “This partnership is deeply personal for us.”
CLWA Board Member Katrina Busch says the effort is about more than money. “At the end of the day, this is about raising awareness and building new connections to the lake we all love.”
Where to find them
Lakeside Cream Ale is available at Naples Brewing Company, 104 N. Main St., Naples. The wines are available online at heronhill.com and in person at Heron Hill’s Keuka Lake winery and its Canandaigua Lake tasting room.
