Ithaca Tompkins International Airport will launch a third daily flight to Washington Dulles (IAD) starting October 2025, offering morning, afternoon, and evening departures.
The expansion is funded by a federal SCASD grant and supported by local institutions like Cornell and Ithaca College.
In a separate announcement, the airport also secured $1.35 million in state funding for a geothermal HVAC system, advancing Tompkins County’s sustainability goals.
Officials praised both moves as key to boosting regional connectivity, economic development, and environmental stewardship.
