A T-bone crash at Route 5 and Balsley Road brought a quick emergency response Tuesday afternoon, briefly closing part of the roadway and sending multiple people to be evaluated by EMS.
The crash happened around 3:32 p.m. on August 12. The Seneca County Communications Center dispatched Seneca Falls Volunteer Fire Department, Seneca Falls Police, and North Seneca Ambulance to the scene.
Fire crews arrived quickly and secured both vehicles, disconnected batteries, cleaned up spilled fluids, and managed traffic through the busy intersection. Balsley Road was temporarily closed, and Route 5 was reduced to one lane in each direction to keep first responders safe as they worked.
North Seneca Ambulance personnel checked on the people involved in the crash. Officials have not reported any serious injuries.
Tow trucks from Stevers Garage and Eagle Auto arrived promptly, helping clear the scene and allowing traffic to resume. All emergency units were cleared within about 30 minutes.
