Auburn OKs drive-thru coffee shop plan

The Auburn Planning Board has approved 7 Brew Coffee’s plan to demolish the former Rite Aid at 153 Grant Ave. and build a 540-square-foot drive-thru shop, The Citizen reports. The Arkansas-based chain operates more than 420 locations nationwide.

Updates to the site plan added stormwater mitigation measures and more trees. The shop will have space for 27 cars in the drive-thru, 19 parking spots, and hours from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday–Thursday and until 11 p.m. Friday–Saturday.

Founded in 2017, 7 Brew serves espresso drinks, energy drinks, smoothies, and light food. With site plan approval, the company can now apply for building permits to start work.
