Cicero woman charged with DWI in Sennett

Deputies arrested a Cicero woman earlier this month after receiving a report of an erratic driver in the town of Sennett.

According to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, 38-year-old Dolores M. Jorgensen was charged with driving while intoxicated on August 3. Around 8:53 p.m., 911 dispatchers received a call about a vehicle swerving on North Street Road near Potter Road.

Deputies located the vehicle stopped along the shoulder near Turnpike Road. After investigating, they determined Jorgensen was intoxicated. She was taken into custody and charged with DWI (first offense).

Jorgensen refused to take a chemical test and was held for CAP Court the following day. Her driver’s license was revoked, and she was released on her own recognizance. She will appear in Sennett Town Court at a later date.

Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office or leave an anonymous tip online or through the SaferWatch app.
