Throop home struck by paintball fire, Auburn man arrested

Deputies say a paintball attack on a Throop home early Thursday ended with a man in custody.

Chase A. Towers, 21, was arrested Aug. 7 after deputies found him in Auburn with a paintball gun and paintballs in his vehicle.

Deputies were called to State Street Road just after 3 a.m. for reports of shots hitting a house. Auburn Police spotted a matching vehicle and followed it to a city address, where deputies say Towers matched the suspect’s description.

He was charged with criminal tampering in the third degree, a misdemeanor, and is due in Throop Town Court Aug. 12.
