After five years without a grocery store, Dundee residents packed the grand opening of Dundee Fresh Grocery, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
The nonprofit store fills a critical gap left when Martini’s closed in 2019, offering produce, pantry staples, hot meals, and a popular deli and bakery. A $560,000 grant helped bring the project to life.
Locals led the effort from scratch — fundraising, surveying neighbors, and even distributing food during the pandemic to prove the need.
