An early-morning fire damaged a home on Yoder Hill Road in Keuka Park but left all six occupants unharmed.
The Yates County Sheriff’s Office said deputies and Branchport/Keuka Park firefighters arrived around 1:39 a.m. on Aug. 10 to find flames spreading from the deck into the east side of the house.
Mutual aid from Penn Yan, Benton, Potter, and Bellona fire departments helped crews contain the fire before it reached other buildings.
Investigators determined the cause was accidental. Penn Yan Ambulance and the county’s Office of Emergency Services also assisted at the scene.
