Two Pennsylvania State Troopers were shot Thursday while responding to a call in Susquehanna County, according to WBNG. Gov. Josh Shapiro confirmed the incident during a press conference and called it an “active situation.”
The troopers were taken to local hospitals, but no update on their conditions has been released. Authorities have not yet identified the suspect. Route 171 near Thompson remains closed, and the public is being asked to avoid the area.
Multiple law enforcement agencies, including New York State Police, responded. A helicopter was also seen at the scene.
