A downtown Auburn smoke shop was closed by the state for illegally selling cannabis, according to The Citizen. Investigators found unlicensed marijuana products and equipment at Auburn Express Jr. Smoke Shop on East Genesee Street.
The store lacked a dispensary license and was selling cannabis flower, edibles, and concentrates that hadn’t been properly tested. The closure follows similar enforcement actions at four other area shops in 2024.
Officials say buying from unlicensed shops is risky, and violators can face hefty daily fines.
