A Penn Yan man was arrested Friday after two domestic investigations revealed repeated violations of court-issued protection orders, according to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
Ryan G. Thomas, 28, of Chestnut Street, faces multiple charges including criminal contempt in the first degree, two counts of aggravated family offense, aggravated harassment in the second degree, and two counts of second-degree criminal contempt.
Deputies allege Thomas violated active orders of protection during both incidents by maintaining contact with a protected individual. He was taken into custody on Chestnut Street around 9:53 a.m. and transported to the Yates County Jail, where he awaited arraignment in CAP court.
