Krossin’ Keuka raises $122K for comfort care home

Hundreds gathered at the edge of Keuka Lake to take part in one of the Finger Lakes region’s most beloved traditions—Krossin’ Keuka.

Organizers say the 2025 event shattered expectations once again, drawing swimmers, paddlers, and supporters from across the country and raising over $122,000 for Keuka Comfort Care Home.

Now in its 16th year, Krossin’ Keuka is the largest single fundraising event in the region. It’s not a race, but a celebration of life, community, and compassion. Many who participate do so in memory of loved ones. One woman shared that she swam with her daughter in honor of her father-in-law, who passed away at the care home last year.

“He had given them a few newspaper clippings… one of which was the lyrics to My Wish,” organizers wrote. “On the morning of the event, as they got into the car, that very song was playing.”

All proceeds support Keuka Comfort Care Home, which provides end-of-life care at no cost to patients or families. Volunteers, local businesses, and emergency services all helped ensure the event’s success. This year’s top fundraisers included Sarah Hestley, Arianne Tepper, Amy Stewart, and Richard Coffin.

Next year’s event is scheduled for July 25. Registration and details are available at www.krossinkeuka.org.
