A person was flown to a hospital Friday afternoon after their vehicle struck a tree in Cayuga County, according to first responders.
Emergency crews responded around 4:30 p.m. near Sterling Station and Humphrey roads. Fair Haven rescue personnel extricated the driver within 20 minutes before a LifeNet helicopter transported them from the scene.
The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, State Police, and multiple fire departments assisted in the response. The driver’s condition and hospital destination remain unknown.
