A Farmington man was arrested for driving while intoxicated Thursday after crashing his vehicle into a tree on Lane Road, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say 59-year-old Jeffrey M. Larue was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed around 5:01 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle. The car left the road and struck a tree, resulting in property damage but no reported injuries.
Larue, a resident of Buckskin Road, was found to be intoxicated at the scene and arrested for DWI. He was also issued traffic tickets for Speed Not Reasonable and Prudent, Moving from Lane Unsafely, and Driving While Intoxicated.
He was released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to face the charges in the Town of Victor Court at a later date.
